As Europe's largest marketing website, and the fastest growing in the US and Asia, The Drum has a duty to give creativity and advertising the recognition it deserves. We want to give you the recognition you deserve.

It seems that some in advertising would rather say they do almost anything else than admit they are in advertising.  Enough is enough! The Drum Advertising Award is unapologetically about advertising.  It will recognise the very best work and send a signal to the community that advertising has a fundamental role to play in building businesses, brands and creating jobs.

The Awards are underpinned by The Drum one of the world biggest marketing platforms - meaning that if you win the world will know.

The million-plus unique readers who consume The Drum every month are hungry for award information. It gives them insights into best practice, the best companies and the best people.  That helps them make better decisions - like who to work with. And of course, will underline why they should continue to invest in advertising.

WHO CAN ENTER?

Anyone, anywhere who is producing great advertising worthy of recognition.

Including: Advertising Agencies, Design Consultancies, Digital Agencies, Direct Mail Companies, Production Companies, Marketing Agencies, PR Consultancies, In-house Creative Teams, In-house Marketing Teams, Media Buying Agencies etc.

 

WHAT IS ELIGIBLE?

Material entered must have been published, displayed, broadcast or mailed between August 15 2017 and 14 September 2018

HOW TO ENTER

  • Download your entry pack for all the information in one place 
  • Register or log in to this website. (top right) 
  • Decide what categories you are going to enter. You may enter as many categories as you like but each must be treated as a separate entry and payment made for each. 
  • To add an entry, go to the dashboard in the menu at the top of the page and choose ‘My companies’ from the drop down. On the next page, chose or add the company you would like to enter on behalf of and then click 'Add an Entry' from the option.
  • Add a short description of no more than 60 words as an overview of the project. In the event your entry is nominated this text will be used on the website to give insight into the project.
  • You are also able to acknowledge another agency if the work has been jointly created.
  • You will be judged on your advertising work but we also want you to tell the jugdes a bit more about your entry. Please download and complete this entry template and upload as a PDF document only.
  • Upload hi-res images of your work* (this is important as these images are shown online and during the show if nominated) and any supporting YouTube or Vimeo video URLs.
  • In the event of your entry being nominated, images, videos and the summary will be live on the website. Please note: At least one image must be uploaded (file limit 10MB. Accept jpg, gif or png files). The first image will be used in listings of entries.
  • Once you have uploaded all of your entries, go to the dashboard in the menu at the top of the page, chose ‘My Companies’ again from the drop down, chose the company whose entries you wish to pay for. add all to your basket and proceed with payment from there.
  • Once payment is processed you will be sent a confirmation email and a receipt will be sent out to you.
  • If you would like to make any changes to your entry, please do so before you submit as changes cannot be made after this stage
  • All entries must be made by the deadline on 14 September 2018.  All entries made after this date will be subject to a 10% late fee.
  • Entries and payment should be made online.

You will be judged on your advertising work but we also want you to tell the jugdes a bit more about your entry. Please download and complete this entry template and upload as a PDF document only.

You are able to upload multiple images of your work, URLs, links to view video content and/or audio.

Picking up an award proves that all the hard work was worth it.  It gives your team the energy to keep pushing boundaries for another year.

WHAT ARE THE JUDGES LOOKING FOR?

After the final entry deadline, the judging panel will be given access to read your submission and view your images, links, video etc The judges will choose their awards based on originality of thinking and quality of execution.   You will be judged on your creative work and the entry report is more  for support and to help the judges understand your work more. 

They will be impressed by concepts that make them smile, does a job and that makes them think ‘God, I wish I’d have thought of that.’

After the panel have carried out their pre-judging, they will meet to discuss the entries and decide on the finalists, commendations and award winners.

AWARDS CEREMONY

We want to give you an advertising awards to remember and we're working on this plan right now.
