Matt is a Creative Director at adamandeveDDB, and previously gave 6 years of his life to BBH London. With his partner, Mark Lewis, he is responsible for the Skittles ‘Give the Rainbow’ campaign, The Guardian ‘Three Little Pigs’ and Google ‘Voice Search’. Outside of advertising, Matt is a published author of several graphic novels and co-founder of Dead Canary Comics.
After award shows, I often sit around with fellow creatives debating the merits of the various winners and preaching about what we would have awarded differently. Judging the Drum Awards is an opportunity to try and make sure the best work is being given the credit it deserves. I’ll be looking for work that has a fresh, insightful idea at its core and does what advertising is supposed to do: sell products and build brands in attention-grabbing, culture-influencing ways.
