What's Your Big Idea?

Your creative work needs to be shouted from the rooftops. The Drum Dream Awards will recognise great creative work from the industry over the last year and bring showers of fame and fortune on the winners... Work can be entered into the sector categories to compete against entries marketing the similar products but also into the discipline categories to pitch it against work in the same medium. We also have report-based categories to honour the implemented strategies behind creative campaigns.

Who can enter?


Entries are open to all Advertising Agencies, Design Consultancies, Digital Agencies, Direct Mail Companies, Production Companies, Marketing Agencies, PR agencies and media agencies, In-house Creative Teams, In-house Marketing Teams and Media Buying Agencies.

The awards are open for international entries.



Material entered must have been published, displayed, broadcast or mailed between 16th June 2015 and 13th July 2016.

Submission formats

• If your category requires physical artwork to be sent to us, please send up to 3 boards maximum for each entry and no bigger than A2 size. Physical artwork will need to be sent to us after the main digital entry has been submitted and paid for.
• If posting these should be sent to The Drum Dream Awards, Mercat Building, 4th Floor, 26 Gallowgate, Glasgow, G1 5AB
• All posted entries MUST include an individual entry form, loosely attached (do not glue) to the back of the entry material. You will find this entry form at the back of this document.
• All entries will require a 60 word summary on the online submission form.


How to enter

• Register or log in.
• The website is now on our new multiplatform so if you have previously registered for these awards, you will need to do so again.
• Decide what categories you are going to enter. You may enter as many categories as you like but each must be treated as a separate entry and payment made for each.
• To add an entry, go to the dashboard in the menu at the top of the page and choose ‘Add an Entry’ from the drop down.
• Add a short description of no more than 60 words as an overview of the project. In the event your entry is nominated this text will be used on the website to give insight into the project.
• You are also able to acknowledge another agency if the work has been jointly created.
• You will also need to use the entry report template (downloadable from the homepage) to write some additional text on your entry. Please see submission formats for category requirements. Please upload as a PDF document only.
• Upload hi-res images of your work* (this is important as these images are shown online and during the show if nominated) and any supporting YouTube or Vimeo video URLs - you will also have to send in mounted artwork etc for judging via post for some categories.
• In the event of your entry being nominated, images, videos and the summary will be live on the website.
Please note: At least one image must be uploaded (file limit 10MB. Accept jpg, gif or png files). The first image will be used in listings of entries.
• Once you have uploaded all of your entries, go to the dashboard in the menu at the top of the page, chose ‘My Entries’ from the drop down, add all to your basket and proceed with payment from there.
• Once payment is processed you will be sent a confirmation email and a receipt will be posted out to you.
• If you would like to make any changes to your entry, please do so before you submit as changes cannot be made after this stage.
All entries must be made by the deadline on Wednesday 13th July 2016.
• All late entries will be subject to a 10% late fee..
• Entries and payment should be made online an hard copies posted in for judging.


How much is it to enter?


The entry fee is £225 + VAT for your first entry and £149 + VAT for each additional entry.


General Rules

1. Material entered must have been published, displayed, broadcast or mailed between 16th June 2015 and 13th July 2016.
2. The Drum Network members receive 10% discount throughout the entry period and this will be added automatically by the website at the payment stage..
3. All submissions posted for judging must be accompanied by an individual entry form. Please ensure that the forms are attached loosely to the back of the entries.
4. As the judging will be anonymous, please ensure your branding is not shown on your submissions.
5. Work entered into more than one category must be treated as a completely separate entry and payment made for each.
6. The same advert cannot be entered into more than three categories under any one discipline.
7. All entries must be supplied in the specification stated in submission formats. Entries must be received by no later than 5pm on Wednesday 13th July 2016. Please note that we
cannot guarantee that entries received after this deadline will be considered.
8. The judges reserve the right to re-allocate entries that in their view are incorrectly entered. The judges also reserve the right to remove categories that aren’t strong enough to have work
nominated. These entries will not be refunded as they will have been judged accordingly with the rest.
9. The Organisers reserve the right to retain entries for subsequent publication/exhibition in relation to the awards. They may be published online or in The Drum magazine and any other relevant publication.
10. The organisers reserve the right to verify that all entries have been commercially produced for a commercial client.
11. Proof of publication or transmission may be requested.
12. Unfortunately due to the volume of entries, correspondence or feedback can’t be given regarding entries. We can also not return any work sent in.
13. The judging panel’s decision is final.
14. Entering work is at your own risk – entries cannot be returned. Whilst every care will be taken in the storage of entries, the organisers will not accept responsibility for loss or damage of entries.
15. All entries submitted should conform to the British Codes of Advertising and Sales Promotion. Any entry that has a complaint upheld against it by the Advertising Standards
Authority will be disqualified.
